First United Methodist Church

Texarkana, Arkansas

Built in 1904, originally, and recently burned due to a roofing fire during repairs, First United Methodist Church, was completely rebuilt exactly as it was with exception of holding 100 more seats. The congregation and building committee wanted the building “almost exactly as it was” but with obvious improvements for accessibility to the handicapped, a larger organ, and fire- proofed. It was completed in April of 2003.
