The Little Rock Eye Clinic purchased an existing office building and engaged WER Architects to transform the facility into a welcoming, efficient, and patient-centered eye care clinic. The renovation focused on creating a more approachable entry experience, simplifying check-in, elevating the retail environment, and improving circulation for both patients and staff. Through strategic planning and thoughtful design, WER reimagined the existing building to better support the clinic’s growing needs and enhance the overall patient experience.

The interior design incorporates a balanced palette of warm and cool tones with a variety of wood finishes to create a transitional environment that feels comfortable and inviting for patients of all ages. Lower-contrast finishes and creamy white tones were intentionally selected to create a calm, clean aesthetic that is particularly appropriate for an eye care environment. The result is a contemporary clinic that feels welcoming without being visually overwhelming.

Clinical spaces were carefully organized to improve patient flow and operational efficiency. Doctor offices and nurses’ stations were strategically positioned near specialty examination rooms and waiting areas, allowing staff to move efficiently between patient functions while keeping circulation intuitive and organized. Staff break areas and business offices were located away from patient-facing spaces, providing employees with dedicated areas that support their needs without interrupting the clinical experience.

The exterior was also redesigned to establish a stronger identity for the clinic and improve accessibility. A new entry canopy provides a convenient covered drop-off directly at the front entrance, creating a more welcoming arrival for patients. New graphics and signage improve visibility from the surrounding area while helping establish a cohesive and recognizable brand for the Little Rock Eye Clinic.
