WER designed a comprehensive addition and renovation to Pine Forest Elementary School, transforming the existing facility while providing new spaces to support the school’s growing student population and evolving educational needs. The project introduced a more secure and welcoming main entrance, a new bus drop-off canopy, and updates to the administration area to improve safety, accessibility, and day-to-day operations. Additional improvements included a dedicated parent/teacher center, a new multi-purpose room, nine new kindergarten and first-grade classrooms, and a newly constructed playground and outdoor classroom that expand opportunities for hands-on learning and student engagement.

The existing school was revitalized through improved circulation paths, enhanced security sightlines, and a strong visual and functional connection between the original building and new addition. Careful planning of pedestrian, car, and bus circulation created a safer and more organized arrival experience, allowing for proper separation of vehicle traffic while minimizing conflicts between students, buses, and families.

Beyond the functional improvements, the project presents a refreshed face for Pine Forest Elementary and creates a stronger connection between the school and the surrounding community. The completed addition and renovations provide a cohesive, secure, and engaging learning environment designed to better serve students, staff, families, and the school community for years to come.
