WER Architects worked closely with Pinnacle Dermatology leadership to design a new standalone clinic in West Little Rock, creating a modern, patient-focused environment tailored to the needs of the growing dermatology practice. The 21,000-square-foot facility provides 14,000 square feet of dedicated clinical space for Pinnacle Dermatology, with the remaining 7,000 square feet designed as future expansion space. This approach allows the practice to grow into the building over time while maximizing the long-term flexibility and value of the facility.

The clinic was carefully positioned along Rahling Road to establish a strong and recognizable presence within the community. Highly visible signage and a clearly defined entry create an intuitive arrival experience for patients, while the interior was intentionally designed to provide a sense of calm and relaxation from the moment patients enter the building.

It was important to develop a material and finish palette inspired by natural elements. Warm, calming finishes, abundant daylight, and carefully considered views create an inviting environment that moves away from the traditionally clinical atmosphere of healthcare facilities. The design uses the waiting area as a visual and material inspiration throughout the building, creating a consistent experience from the entry through the clinical spaces.

Patient flow and staff efficiency were central to the planning process. Examination, treatment, support, and administrative spaces were strategically organized to create intuitive circulation and minimize unnecessary movement for both patients and staff. This thoughtful organization allows the clinic to function efficiently while maintaining the serene and welcoming atmosphere established at the entry.

The project also incorporates flexibility as a key component of its long-term planning. The additional 7,000 square feet has been designed to allow for future expansion by Pinnacle Dermatology, providing the practice with the ability to grow within its existing facility rather than requiring a future relocation.

Currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2026, the new Pinnacle Dermatology clinic will provide West Little Rock with a contemporary dermatology facility focused on patient comfort, operational efficiency, and long-term adaptability. Through thoughtful space planning, natural materials, daylight, and a strong emphasis on intuitive circulation, WER has created an environment designed to support both the practice and the people it serves.
