Welcome Summer Interns

We are thrilled to welcome five summer interns to our Little Rock office this summer - Rory, Macy, Kalyn, Beka and Stacy! Make sure to swing by and say hi over the next few weeks!

Rory Jones is entering her fifth year of architecture school at the University of Arkansas. Rory grew up in a historic neighborhood, which has led her to want to pursue a career in historic preservation. “Historic preservation is meaningful to me because it keeps stories alive by giving old buildings new purpose while still honoring where they came from - a balance of past and present that I find really fascinating.”

Macy Mclean is from Texarkana, Arkansas and is entering her fourth year of architecture school at Louisiana Tech University in the fall. Her favorite thing about architecture is that you are constantly learning and asking new questions. “Every day is something different, and I find great joy in using what I love - drawing and creative problem solving - to help those around me!”

Kalyn Holeyfield is in her senior year at Harding University studying Interior Design. She is from Searcy, Arkansas. Kalyn enjoys interior design because you are able to create a space that impacts the lives of others around you. “I also enjoy seeing my designs become actual spaces I can interact with.”

Beka Ulasewich is a third year architecture student at the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design in Fayetteville, and is from Conway, Arkansas. Beka’s favorite thing about architecture is the ability to create an entirely encompassing experiential space. “I love creating spaces that can foster connection between people and their communities and environments!”

Stacy Fulton is a Biology and ESL Biology teacher at Bryant High School. This summer, she is doing her internship as part of the STRIVE program at UA Little Rock. The goal of STRIVE is to help teachers better prepare students for the future STEM workforce by showing them the wide range of careers that use STEM skills. When she’s not teaching, you can find Stacy hanging out with her five fur babies, spending time with friends, or curled up in a hammock with a good book.
